"How To Be An Inventor"
Program Overview

The "How To Be An Inventor" program helps develop the thinking skills to be able to thrive in the idea driven future. The program's goals are to inspire children to consider that every product, service or process they encounter is a result of an invention. We help kids decode how inventions are discovered and reconfigure them to create new ideas. But the skill sets they learn will be valuable for life. We help develop curiosity, reflection, convergent and divergent thinking skills - exactly what is needed to prosper in the new economy.

The course was developed as a K12 version of a university course entitled Systems of Inventive Thinking that focuses on a design approach starting with the existing solution and applying thinking tools.  This academic model is based on over 30 years of research in what is a successful creative-thinking model that creates actionable outcomes.
